Glendale

Glendale, Ariz., is more than home runs and storied baseball franchises. The city is also home to one of the hottest sports and entertainment districts in the country, boasting NFL, NHL and college football action, as well as the nation's top concerts and shows, restaurants, nightclubs and shopping. Take in a blockbuster concert at the award-winning Jobing.com Arena. Get a good look at the 50-yard line from the state-of-the-art University of Phoenix Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals as well as Fiesta Bowl and BCS Championship college football games. Afterward, tempt your taste buds with a variety of flavors served up by restaurants located at the nearby Westgate City Center.

Explore the one-of-a-kind boutique shops and ethnic eateries in Historic Downtown Glendale, home to Glendale's signature outdoor festivals that includes everything from glowing balloons and more than 1.5 million holiday lights to the beloved annual Glendale Chocolate Affaire and Glendale Jazz & Blues Festival. Even more shopping and dining options can be found in Glendale's northern corridor, home to Arrowhead Towne Center and the high-end luxury shopping center Citadelle Plaza. Outdoor enthusiasts will find themselves at home here, too, thanks to beautiful fairways, tennis courts, hiking trails and nearby regional lake. And families will revel in endless fun thanks to Arizona's biggest water park, a wildlife zoo and aquarium, a chocolate factory, nearby theaters, museums and more.
